Ready to hold your own book in your hands and share it with readers?
A ghostwriter might be just what you need to help you accomplish that goal!
Interested in hiring a ghostwriter?
Lots of people are curious about the process. Here’s a short breakdown of the major steps in working with me to accomplish your book dream.
Schedule a free discovery call!
This gives you a chance to share about your book idea and hopes, about any work you’ve already done on the project, to ask questions, and helps me build out a personalized proposal. I get to share more details about my process. And, we each discern if we’re a good fit to work together. It is a painless 20-minute conversation and I love doing them, even if we don’t move forward together. It is exciting to hear about all the ideas in the world and to get to know new people.
Build the scaffolding!
Once we decide to work together, we spend about a month doing weekly Zoom calls and digging into what your book is about, what your voice sounds like, what the book is about about, who it is for, what is the promise you are making to your readers, and how you intend to fulfill that promise. We dig into a ton more than that, and as we go, we’re building a rough outline, the scaffolding, the vision that will drive us forward and that will keep readers turning the page.
(I) Write the darn thing!
From there, we continue the weekly Zoom calls for anywhere from four months to twelve months, depending on the project. The calls are structured around our outline, and I gather all the stories, details, anecdotes, insights, and color to make sure the chapter produced is in your voice, telling your story. You are welcome to contribute as much writing as you like, including none at all!
For most clients, all you do is show up and talk for an hour a week and after four to six months (sometimes longer, depending on the project)…
You’ve got a book!
When we have a completed manuscript, I send it to my editor to make sure it is polished. I then provide you with resources that will help you take the next steps on your own. Those might be a list of fee-for-service hybrid publishers, self-publishing tips and contacts, a query letter for agents or publishers, or whatever feels best and right for you and your book.
Voila!
Everything we produce belongs to you.
In less than a year you can move from “I have a compelling idea” to “I have a book!”

Next thing you know, you might be on a call with Barbara Brown Taylor and Abdi Nor Iftin! Maybe not (pretty sure that was once in a lifetime for me), but how will you know unless you try?
